Sheikh Dr. Issam Al-Bashir (on left) from Sudan delivered a lecture in Porchester Hall on "What Could the Islamic World Lose as a Result of Kuwait's Occupation?" He covered the economic losses and also the impact on culture. He concluded the Iraqi regime's invasion was causing immeasurable harm. He also analyzed slogans (such as "US-Britain Out of the Gulf," "No to War," and "No War for Oil") of the anti-military intervention marches, organized by the Committee to Stop War in the Gulf, and showed them to be disingenuous. Othman Al-Khadher moderated. (See also 1102-1104.)
