"I remain attached to my memories of London during that time of hardship when many thousands of Kuwaiti families were forced into exile. The agony of traveling into the unknown coexisted with pride, dignity, resilience, and hope of repatriation to a homeland rid of a tyrant. As differences in religious sect, origin, race, and political beliefs melted away, social solidarity emerged. All Kuwaitis stood as one, believing in only one option: to engage their collective energies to liberate their beloved country. Despite the plight of exile, those were the finest days of my life. I wish my compatriots today would relive the spirit of those days."
