In Kuwait during the invasion; fled to London with family in October and joined the Media Committee

"It was the 2nd of August 1990 and I couldn’t believe what was on the news, ‘Kuwait invaded by Iraqi troops.’ I just froze in front of the TV in London, where I was spending my annual summer holiday.

“A few weeks later, I was at 41 Porchester Terrace where our journey to free Kuwait began. We were busy doing interviews, organizing marches, distributing leaflets, badges, and shirts, sending letters, participating in debates at universities and colleges, and even traveling all over the UK to gather support for our cause. I recall organizing a couple of football games, as well as one played at St. Albans City Football Club in which some Kuwaiti national team exiles participated. The great day arrived on the 26th of February 1991, when it was announced, 'KUWAIT IS FREE.' I will never forget this experience at the FREE KUWAIT CAMPAIGN."
