United in London
On September 16, 1990, Othman Al-Khadher of the Kuwaiti High Committee addressed hundreds of Kuwaitis at their weekly Sunday gathering in Hyde Park's Speakers' Corner. Al-Khadher also organized, spoke, and moderated at large FKC public meetings and acted in a satire about Saddam Hussein’s propaganda.

On January 8, 1991, Gary Eales and other Media Committee members met to evaluate their work. It was still a dark time, with daily new reports of Iraqi brutality and no idea when the coalition forces would be poised to strike. Eales, who maintained an exhaustive schedule as the committee's political coordinator, arranged more than 40 events throughout Britain for Kuwaiti diplomats, officials, and Media Committee members as representatives of the FKC. Eales coached and accompanied the participants to most of these events, which included public debates, public and private political meetings, seminars, and conferences.

On February 25, 1991, with the coalition forces in the midst of the ground war, Sundus Hamza Abbas of the Media Committee manned the phones for news of the war's progress and gave countless interviews to the press. Though many committee members had a public role to play, the committee's main spokespersons were Hamza Abbas and Ali Al-Mulaifi.

On the morning of February 26, 1991, before it was known that Iraqi forces were in full retreat, Ibrahim Qabazard of the Media Committee waited to receive and disseminate news. On less dramatic days, Qabazard's sense of humor was a constant morale booster and a big part of keeping the team's spirit high.

Later in the day on February 26, 1991, Mousa Marafi of the Media Committee reacted to good news during a TV interview. Marafi did not join the committee till October, but he made up for that by bringing along his 2 hard-working young sons. Their handling of various administrative tasks was invaluable in keeping the committee functioning efficiently. The children of other members, such as the daughters of Al-Marzouq and Tshering, also contributed greatly to the campaign.
